Head of Innovation and TriTech wins CSO’s Excellence in Healthcare Science Award

Our TriTech Institute’s Professor Chris Hopkins secured the Research and Innovation award last night at the Chief Scientific Officer’s Excellence in Healthcare Science Awards for his services to healthcare science.

The awards, which took place at the Chief Scientific Officer’s conference at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London, celebrated the contributions and achievements of the healthcare science workforce and the impact they have on patient outcomes. The awards championed inspiring case studies of quality improvement, innovative partnerships, and pioneering service delivery.

Professor Chris Hopkins, who works as a Consultant Clinical Scientist and Head of Innovation & the TriTech Institute at Hywel Dda University Health Board, said:

“It’s an honour to be a winner in the Chief Scientific Officer’s Excellence in Research & Innovation Healthcare Science Awards. At TriTech & Innovation we pride ourselves on undertaking ground-breaking research and innovation that develops healthcare solutions to improve patient outcomes.

Prof Chris Hopkins was the recipient of the Research and Innovation award.

In an article by the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM), Dr Robert Farley, IPEM’s President, said:
